About us

Shaun started up Apollo Heating in 1994. He grew the business to c£10m revenue and subsequently sold it to Spice plc in 2006. He stayed with Spice for a further 3 years before setting up again in 2010, when he brought a number of underperforming companies. Working with Martin, he turned these businesses around and grew them organically to c£60m revenue, with £300m order book, when it was sold in July 2016 to a trade buyer. 

Originally, a KPMG qualified, Chartered Accountant, Martin has experience of lending for “structured” corporate transactions through a role with Bank of Scotland’s leveraged finance team. He spent two years working for Bridgepoint Capital’s Leeds office working on transactions including ALcontrol Laboratories and Carter & Carter prior to the closure of Bridgepoint Capital’s northern offices in 2002. Martin moved into industry, undertaking a corporate finance role at Spice plc where he worked on acquisitions for Spice’s Water division and the acquisitions leading to the creation of Spice’s Gas division, which is where he met and worked with Shaun. A role working at Pressure Technologies plc followed until the opportunity arose in 2010 to join forces with Shaun at Liberty.

Alan has more than 20 year's experience advising medium sized businesses on their strategy and corporate activity (acquisitions, disposals and capital raising). He was a partner at Grant Thornton UK LPP and lead their UK corporate finance business before setting up on his own advisory business. He joined Duality Group as shareholder and director in December 2016.
